Cloud Sync backs up your data to the cloud and restores it on any device - automatically, and optionally encrypted with a password only you know.

Open Cloud Sync

Click Settings in the left icon bar, then Cloud Sync. The Overview shows your Backup Status, Last Backup, Backup Size and Storage Quota.

Create a backup

  1. Click Create New Backup.
  2. Under Select Items to Backup, choose what to include - you can choose what to include in each backup.
  3. Click Create Backup. Creating Backup... may take a few moments.

The Latest Backup Details show when it was created and its size.

Back up automatically

In Backup Settings → Automatic Backup Configuration:

  1. Turn on Enable Automatic Backups.
  2. Choose a Backup Frequency: Realtime, Every minute, Every 30 minutes, Every hour, Once a day, Once a week or Every 2 weeks.
  3. Set Backup Retention - how many days to keep old backups.
  4. Optionally adjust Compression Level (higher saves space but takes longer) and turn on Notify when backup completes.
  5. Click Save Settings.

Encrypt your backups

For an extra layer of security, turn on Encrypt backup data and Set Backup Encryption Password. Turn on Remember password for automatic backups so scheduled backups can run without asking.

You can change it later with Change Encryption Password.

Restore a backup

  1. Open Cloud Sync on any device where you're signed in.
  2. Choose Restore Backup and pick the backup.
  3. Enter the backup password if it's encrypted, then Restore.

Manage storage

Storage Management shows Current Usage and how much is available. Use Delete All Backups to free space, or Upgrade Storage for a bigger quota.
